Surf Clams are available in each city of Pakistan at different prices; their prices depend on their size and how they are being prepared. On average, the price ranges between ₨ 1,400 to ₨ 1,600/kg. Normally, their price is a bit higher for the big ones due to the size and also because of the more tender meats.
Preparation
They can be cooked in a number of ways: steaming with herbs, tossing in butter and garlic, or adding them to soups and pasta. They cook rather fast; overcooking them will have them tough. Season them lightly so that one is assured of the natural sweetness and ocean freshness coming through.
